Through My Lenses: Wiping

Arguably, wiping has long since been a problem in Paintball. "Wiping" as the name implies, is when a player attempts to remove or "wipe" a mark made by a broken paintball on themselves in order to hide the hits and thus play on. Paintballs are designed and made to leave a visible, clear mark on a hit player to "mark" them out. It is an effective system, but it is not a fool proof system.

In Tanamera Paintball Park, wipers are a common sight. I ain't pointing no fingers here, but c'mon guys, do you think i'm blind or what? The way that you guys play weekend games, with no Rm5000 for the winning team reflects on how you lead your personal life. In my humble opinion, if you cheat in Paintball, you will and have been cheating your self on your life. You're not cheating me. Nor you're cheating Abu, the one you're lying to is your self.

Marshals
To be honest, marshals in a rec-ball game are not there to call you out. Not that we bother, as if we could stop you guys (again, i ain't mentioning names here) from wiping? What's the point to give penalties to enforce those rules? I mentioned earlier, it is not that the games pay Rm5000 to the winning team right? Our job on the field is to give a fair game to all the players standing there on that day. All we can do is split up an even team, and make sure the game is safe and enjoyable for everyone, newbies and regulars alike. We can't be next to every player on the field at one go, again, we're not god. And as much as me loving to imagine having eyeballs that can zoom, i don't have them, and no i can't look and see what's happening on the far side of Lake Placid.

Bitching
Every weekend, players come to me and complain, "That guy kena shoot then dowan go out!, Like that play mat lan oh?" Wipers, and honest players alike. Sometimes i do wonder, you sendiri wipe, i've seen you doing it countless times, and now you're here bitching to me that the opposing players are wiping? Honest players, c'mon guys. Now look me in the eyes and tell me you have not wiped even one single shoot from the first day that you took up a paintball marker. Who cares if you have a 50 foot banner saying that you're against wiping? I surely don't, and don't come bitching to me at Tanamera saying "Wah lan eh, everyone also you tembak, i know you damn good you don't wipe one..." If you're thinking to do that or considering that at this point, read the post again. No where in this post mentions that i do not cheat and wipe. Am i a honest player or a wiper, i'll leave that to your consideration. Those who played with me and against me knows.

Advices
Wiping is an art, if you wanna be dishonest with yourself and wipe, please do it without me seeing it or the opposing players seeing it. If you wanna wipe also, you do it more professionally right? Watching those players in the US-PL wipe(in replayed YouTube Videos, with a red circle indicating when they wiped) You guys are a total useless noobs in wiping. Of course, if you're not a paintball noob in the first place you won't be the one wiping as you'll be the one shooting people out.
Can't take losing playing Paintball? Go play bowling. Or get a Nintendo Wii and play Cooking Mama with your ugly girlfriend at home with cheat codes and quit Paintball.

  1. In my humblest opinion, the act of wiping is for children.
